It’s a tough decision when they all look so good! If you check out our Instagram, find a few you like and send them to us via DM we can let you know which set is best suited to the look you are after.

Lash Extensions don’t like oily products. Cleansing your lashes with a specially formulated Lash Extensions cleanser will give them the best chance at longevity. Humid or steamy environments tend to break down the glue quicker than normal so we advise against them if you come into contact with that daily. For 24 hours following your set of extensions they need to be kept dry. They also need to be brushed daily with a clean mascara wand. It is not recommended that you wear mascara with your extensions, if you need more volume we recommend a more voluminous set of extensions.

Depending on the duration of your trip and the climate you are visiting extensions may not be your best option. Consult with one of our therapists on Instagram or via our Talk to us page to see if they are suited to your needs.

For a wedding set, we always recommend you first complete your makeup trial, then once your look is confirmed come to us for a trial set of extensions at least 2 weeks before your big day.

Recently there has been a lot in the press about Iron Oxides and MRI scans, 2 of our 30+ colour choices do contain iron oxide in such a low amount that it would be safe to have an MRI within 2 weeks of having the treatment done. IF you would like to ensure you have an oxide free ink, we have another range of colours to choose from should we need to select a shade similar to the 2 pigments mentioned above please just let us know and we are happy to accomodate your request.

Lash Extensions on average last 3-4 weeks before they really require maintenance. Some clients with great care for their extensions and the use of lash serums will get a little longer out of them but 2-3 weekly maintenance is the optimum time to have a short maintenance session to extend their life a further 2-3 weeks. Once applied, without maintenance you would likely see the last of your extensions falling out at the 5-6 week mark.

We will remove any extensions completed by us free of charge. We do not remove other salons work unless we are reapplying a full set, the price of removal for another salons work heavily depends on the time spent removing them. To ensure we allow enough time please email us a picture of the lashes you want removed so we can allocate ample time.

Not when applied properly. Excess glue, excessive length or thickness per lash can contribute to your lashes being damaged, we eliminate all of these factors and if you are wanting extensions long term we suggest the use of a lash serum to support your own lashes. Furthermore regular maintenance is necessary to maintain good health to your own lashes.

In most instances where a client has visited a premium salon yes, we do ask to have a quick look at the extensions via email to ensure we are able to what needs to be done during a maintenance appointment of another salons work.

Unfortunately a reaction to Lash Extensions tends to be a recurring issue and its an allergy that is activated by all Lash Extension adhesives, at best we could patch test for you by applying just 2-3 extensions and waiting a few days to see if you react. You can however safely and effectively have a Yumi Lash Lift.

It is a treatment in which we contour your natural lashes onto a silicone pad in an upward direction. Using a keratin and protein infusion we set the lashes into this lifted position.

8-12 weeks depending on the natural growth cycle of your lashes. How often can I have my lash lift done? For best results we recommend 8 weekly, in a few rare instances we can lift them as soon as 6 weeks.

Our Yumi Lash lift is not damaging to your natural lashes, its focus is on infusing nourishing ingredients into the lashes, if you have lashes that are prone to dryness from cosmetics such as mascara we recommend using a take home Keratin treatment under your mascara daily . You are likely to see the condition of your lashes improve beyond what they are prior to the lift & take home treatment.

Yumi is a gentle process & requires a lot of skill and training to perfect. We guarantee a great result, and what you see is what you get. Please notify your therapist of what happened to you in the past, they will be able to explain how it happened and talk you through what it is we can do to avoid an adverse result a second time round.``

Yumi provides the most consistent and glossy result that we have found from similar products internationally. The formulation is heavily focussed on the nourishment of your natural lashes. We believe based on our experience working with multiple brands in the past that the Yumi formulation is far superior to the great majority of Lash Lifting brands available in New Zealand.

We have not had 1 single reaction to a Yumi Lash lift to date. With all beauty treatments there is a small chance of a client reacting to any given product. The Yumi formulation is full of clean ingredients and is comfortable to have done. Even if you have reacted to lash extensions in the past Yumi is safe to have done.

Yes you can, but the cost remains the same. Unfortunately due to the processing time the absence of a tint doesn’t reduce the timing enough for us to be able to discount the treatment. We can however vouch for the fact that every client can benefit from a Yumi ultra dark tint at the time of their lift service.

In some cases yes, in some cases no. If your lashes have been overprocessed (frizzy looking) we can only send you home with conditioning products and have you wait it out for 8 weeks. If in the case they are under or over curled we often can redo the lift for you safely, this always comes with a risk of overprocessing and is something that is undertaken at the risk of the client. Please send us a picture via email if you are wanting to have a lift from another salon corrected by us and we can provide our reccomendation.

YES YES YES! The best results for a Yumi Lash Lift are in combination with a serum. Not all serums are equal, we first and foremost recommend Yumi Lashes Serum as it is designed to work in perfect synergy with your lash lift, but we also highly recommend and stock the Revitalash range which also works wonderfully in combination with a Yumi Lash lift. Some serums that provide excessive and uneven length can hinder the Yumi Lash Lift result and we recommend they are avoided.

Face mapping is our way of balancing the presence of your brow with the rest of the features on your face. Once we can determine the ideal size, shape and positioning we will ask for your feedback before we cement the shape with hair removal. As a general policy, unless requested we do not over sculpt brows or reposition them against where they fall naturally.

We offer a sensitive option which is slightly longer in duration to allow us to tweeze. Due to the nature of tweezing, this service isn’t as “clean” as a wax and a few of the finer hairs may remain. Many clients whom wear alot of makeup or have peach fuzz on their face may prefer this method especially on the tops of their brows.

We don’t offer threading or Henna. Both of these services achieve a result that isn’t in line with what we believe to be “your best brow” we believe if you are after a skin stain or super sculpted look that you can achieve this best with product. The beauty of product application in place of a skin stain means when you’re bare faced your brows remain balanced with the rest of your features and on the flip side can be dressed up to match your makeup on any given day. There are also many permanent makeup options that serve you better than a skin stain treatment and allow you to utilise the texture of your natural brow. Threading in our experience should be avoided due to the brow in most instances needing very frequent maintenance and becoming smaller in size over time.

Absolutely, sometimes the smallest tweaks can make all the difference. Its also a great time for us to do a good brow map, and let you know where you need to focus on letting the hair come through or for the best results enhancing the growth with a serum. The key to a good brow rehab is always rebooking with the same therapist as although trained the same, each therapists vision for your brow can vary slightly.

4-6 weekly is our most popular timing for clients who like a well kept brow. You can tint sooner between shapes if you like to keep the brow hair darker than it is naturally.

Serum, Brow Gel & professional shapes with the same therapist every 8 weeks. We love serums for the added bush, gels to perfect the natural brows proportion and texture, but even the wildest of brows need a little tweak from time to time so make sure you come to see us regularly to keep them in check.

A precision tint is where we apply tint in the exact shape that we want to create with your brow. We do not rely on waxing to clean up the tints edge, therefore it is essential that our tint is perfectly placed.

Absolutely, just let your therapist know. But do take us up on a lick of brow gel, it’ll hold your brows in place all day and perfect your shape and texture. In our opinion Brow Gel is the perfect product to add to your daily routine.

Send us a picture and we can advise the outcome. In some instances lamination isn’t well suited and we love the opportunity to let you know in advance of booking.

No! Once dry the brows do not sit slick and wet to the skin, there are products like brow soap that can help you achieve that look daily.

We dont offer in person consultations unfortunately, our recommendation is for you to look at our instagram as a first port of call and send us some of the pictures of treatments you like, followed by a picture of your eyes and brows in clear lighting with no product. From there we can recommend exactly what to book based on the looks you like.

Unfortunately we can’t take bookings without security deposits, this reduces our no shows drastically. We do however fully refund your deposit if desired outside of the cancellation period. What is your cancellation policy, I work on call? We request 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel an appointment. For clients who are on call we recommend either booking on a definite day off, or using our cancellation page on facebook to get appointments last minute.

Its possible that the combination of treatments you are after cannot be performed by a single therapist or the therapist you have selected. Send us an email or give us a call and we can make it work for you.

Scarring and skin damage is purely the Artist and not the tool. All permanent makeup treatments, when trained & practised by qualified and experienced professionals on a suitable skin will not cause excessive scarring or damage. Microblading specifically is a very difficult skill to perform and very hard to perfect. All of our therapists have undergone multiple training courses, and have several years of industry experience behind them before they even touch the faces of models let alone clients. Once we deem their service predictable and safe we will open that therapist to clients, this process takes a number of months and we ensure in every instance we see hundreds of healed results before we offer appointments. In addition all of our therapists undertake ongoing further education in order to keep up with the latest in products and techniques available worldwide. There are some cases where old generation pigments can leave a warm skin stain after strokes fade and clients do not continue maintenance however this is commonly dealt with and can be corrected easily - this is not considered skin damage. Like any cosmetic treatment, there are risks associated and these risks in any instance are outlined to you clearly prior to any treatment with us.

The most frequently asked question is does Feather Touch Hurt! The answer is no. We pre numb the area for around 1 hour with a triple action numbing cream to ensure the treatment is pain free. During the treatment if required we can top your pain relief up with a fast acting gel. While the sensation is slightly uncomfortable, the treatment is over and done with quickly. Clients say that the part they dislike the most is the noise, Feather Touch sounds slightly “clicky” or “scrapey”.

Sometimes, Depending on the clients skin type, the thickness of their blood and other factors you might get a little bit of bleeding. Generally its less than if you had a little cat scratch and we control it using a vasoconstriction gel when needed.

In all cases we use fully disposable tools, at the end of each treatment everything used during your session with the exception of tweezers and pencils is disposed of into a biohazards bin.

Our current pigment range is Oxide free. Past pigments are known to contain a small amount of oxides in some but not all instances. Should you require information on this we are happy to provide. We prefer to avoid lip colours that contain white oxides as those colours don’t easily dissipate over time. That said we aren’t able to offer treatments that lighten lips. We also do not for this reason offer corrective treatments such as areola tattoo, stretch mark cover or concealer tattoo.

We custom mix our pigments with the skin base tones in mind. We don't however allow clients to choose their own colour by looking at the bottles, as skin science plays the biggest part in this. Using the undertones of your skin, your skin type & your hair colour if applicable we will choose colours that are suited to you and will give you the best and longest lasting result. Don't worry if your colour feels too dark or too light or bright to begin with, it takes 30 days for the final colour to show & its all part of our plan for perfection.

Feather Touch Brows is a name for a technique called Microblading, this is an incredibly hard to perfect technique and what we consider our specialty. Using a tiny row of needles we create a tiny but very precise scratch in the skin to mimic the look of hairs. When performed on the right skin types by experienced therapists this technique results in crisp and textured lines that blend seamlessly with the surrounding hair.

Combination brows is when we use either a machine, or Microblade to create hairstrokes in the front of the brow, but we use a machine with fine needles to shade either the bulk of the brow or the tail. This is an easier treatment to perfect, and we use this on more problematic skins that are oilier, have more open pores and skins that for any reason might not be as well suited to achieving a great result using just a blade. Combination brow technique is also favored for use when working over undesirable work from another salon.

Both techniques when performed correctly create an incredible end result.

The short answer is no, in the first session we play it very safe with the pigments to ensure we are making the right choices for the undertone & your skin type to ensure a long lasting result with good fading. You can expect to loose anywhere up to 80% of the colour during the healing process and the colour to change several times. The final tone is evident at around 36 days after your treatment. When you come back to see us its likely your first treatment will look faded in areas and might be patchy, in the second session we shoot for your final result filling in gaps, darkening and lightening the colour down to suit what you would like. Less Feather Touch treatments does not mean a more natural result. More Feather Touch treatments means a more blended, 3d result therefore looks the most natural. Another rule we go by is sticking as close to what the client had originally to ensure an undetectable result. You can always add more throughout the process so if you are unsure of what you want don't worry, we will help you decide.

Feather Touch Brow treatment is suitable for clients who have reasonably good brows to begin with and don't want to make major changes to where the brows sit, or their shape. Brow Reconstruction is for any client who has uneven, thin, over plucked or non existent brows to begin with, Reconstruction is performed over 3 sessions by a very experienced Brow Artist to ensure that the result blends well with the natural hair or in the case there is no natural hair that the face is mapped to ensure the brow is encompassed on the brow fat pad in order to move naturally. In addition an extremely experienced artist is needed to complete what we call a comprehensive stroke pattern, these stroke patterns are necessary to achieve the most realistic results on clients who have little to no hair. We will when you fill out your online consultation be able to advise which treatments and therapists you are well suited to see.

It is essential to get a clear fresh result that hair strokes aren't placed too close together, when they are put too close together you risk your colour healing into a block. We fill gaps effectively by layering hair strokes over a series of sessions to ensure your brows heal textured. If you have thick hair, and are wanting to go outside of the lines or fill large gaps, this technique is especially important so it is not obvious where the tattoo is sitting vs where the hair is sitting. In addition we always treat your first session conservatively, this allows us the opportunity to change things before we set the final look. Everything about our treatments is adjustable; shade, shape, depth of colour when approached carefully from the get go can be adjusted to suit your desires in your second session once we deem the skin predictable.

We will have you fill out a 6 page consultation form in order to gain a clear understanding of your skin, health & what is is you may and may not want. Once complete, we will assess this form and discuss any contraindications with you. During the paper consult process you will have a triple action numbing cream applied, this stays on for up to an hour. Once we take you through to the treatment room to go through the design process we will go over all of these factors and assess them in combination with what is is you’re wanting to have done. Using a skinny pencil, we follow a process designed by our leading brow artists & master trainers to ensure a proportionate balanced template, that is customised to balance the natural features and blend with the natural feature we are working with. Once we finalise this template, we then start with a few small hair strokes or in the case of lips an outline to give us guidelines of where to go. Each hair stroke is placed perfectly to ensure it flows and blends with the natural hair growth giving a seamless result. After we finish what we call our “leading lines” we will show you where they will sit on your face, the colour & make sure your numbing cream is topped up with a fast acting gel. From here things come together quickly, It'll be over before you know it and you'll be walking out with incredible brows. For Brow reconstruction clients it can be underwhelming after the first session, but your therapist will explain to you the beauty of a simple base in terms of building your best brows moving forward.

Apply healing cream around 5 x a day for those 5 days, and ensure active skincare stays well away from the brows for the duration of their lifetime.

The short answer is yes, we can create an ombre effect with spacing hair strokes further apart through the inner of the brows, we can also use a combination technique which includes a portion of shading. We do not offer an ombre brow bulb as we believe it does not fall in line with our brand when it come to our philosophy of a Brow that doesn’t look “applied”. If you over work an area, you will find once faded say after one year, it is very hard to make it look good again without going much darker in your colour refresh. We recommend clients use a brow pomade or powder ontop of Feather Touch when they have a full face of makeup to produce this effect.

We specialise in seamless brows that suit a clients face with and without makeup. Depending on skin colour, skin type and hair colour & type we aren't always willing to go too far beyond what is natural. Pigments when overused can look bad on certain skin types, your therapist will be able to explain why you might or might not be able to have an “Uber Glam Brow”. The great news is Feather Touch serves as a beautiful base and makes product application look better and much easier to apply. It might be that if you do wear makeup religiously you might be well suited to a combination brow.

Yes, although it is likely we would have cut into your makeup when we are cleaning the area so you may want to bring some concealer or foundation to touch up. Most clients go slightly red or white around the edges of the area afterwards, but this doesn't last much longer than about 20 minutes.

Overnight your brows will darken, they will be their darkest at around day 3. Fortunately and unfortunately for some they will lighten at around day 5-6 and will continue to lighten for another week to 10 days, but we rely on your feedback to ensure we complete your second and third treatments to perfection.

We approach each client differently to achieve their desired result, but also to work with their skin, hair & health. If your friends brows look different to yours thats to be expected, should you wish to make changes at your next appointment please let your therapist know and she can discuss your options. No set of Feather Touch Brows heals the same, skin type, colour and medications being the main factors however we will let you know during consultation if we don't think that you will get your desired result.

Once you’ve had your brows done you'll be looking at yourself a lot, you might notice imperfections you didn't realise existed before. The brows are a very expressive part of the face, and can sit differently when laughing, smiling, crying or even just talking. Throughout the sessions you can expect increased balance but they will never be perfect - Sisters not twins! If your brows are over plucked, uneven or undergoing a full reconstruction you can expect them to be uneven especially after the first session due to the spacing techniques we use for the best blending long term.

Yes! It is very important to book your follow up sessions in advance to avoid long wait times or disappointment. We work always on a fully booked diary, so have little room to move with squeezing in new bookings. We suggest you book all appointments in advance, and space them 4-6 weeks apart depending on what dates and times we have that suit you. If you are 100% committed to your new brows we recommend you book a 12-18 monthly refresh at your final appointment.

Our wait times are long for a reason, we are fabulous at what we do. A facial Tattoo should be taken very seriously and we pump out beautiful results day in and day out. We suggest you visit our sister salon Lash Noir for a Brow Magic or two while you wait for your appointment, it’s amazing what they can do even with a simple shape or some Brow rehab with Revitabrow. It’s worth the wait, we promise.

Depending on your skin type, age & medications you can generally expect to get a year out of your Feather Touch Brows before they need a colour refresh. Colour refreshing is a one off treatment you'll need done yearly. Your therapist will give you a good expectation of upkeep at the time of your first appointment.

No, Feather Touch is completed on the skin and does not effect hair growth. Brows will still need to be shaped and in some cases tinted ongoing for the best results. You'll find your tattoo gets a little lost in the hair if you don't maintain them.

Eventually it will fade out to natural skin, in the meantime it will be very easy to draw your brows on as you'll still have a base to work with! In some cases where a client has had their brows done several times or with an older generation pigment, we may need to run over the brow with a salt based solution to help the remaining colour leave the skin.

It is unsafe for Pregnant women to have this treatment done. It is also our company policy due to the lack of scientific research & guidelines around safe use of numbing cream, that we will not complete the treatment on a breastfeeding mother unless she can “pump and dump for 48 hours following”.

Many medications may deem you unsuitable for the treatment due to their effects on the skin. Some medications will result in us refusing treatment, and others you will need to be aware of the risks associated. Common medications we need to know about in advance of your appointment: Acutane, Doxycycline, Blood Thinners, Cholesterol, Prescription pain meds, Thyroid, Heart, Diabetes, and any Antibiotics or oral steroids and any medication that may thin the skin and cause photosensitivity. Keloid scarring, psoriasis, dermatitis or eczema, and acne are a few skin disorders you may wish to discuss with your therapist first. If you have medications, your best to email us the list so we can advise in advance what to expect - its horrible having to be turned away on the day after waiting so long for an appointment.

Each Therapist has their own style, specialises in different things. In short all therapists can complete a range of looks, but for complicated cases you might need help to choose the best therapist for you. You may like to ask friends who they have seen, or jump onto our instagram and save the imagery you like best. We don't put all of what we do up online - if we did youd be seeing in excess of 20 posts a day, so if you still can’t decide, call us or email and let us know what you are after and our receptionist will let you know who would be best for the job. The more established the artist the longer the waitlist however its a tattoo on your face so it’s worth waiting to get exactly what you are wanting.

Thats our job! You can bring pictures, or just ask your therapist. We are experts in choosing the perfect look for your face. We will also explain in detail if there is any reason why what you want might not be quite right for you.

Yes! Although not always straightforward, we can help. We require you to send us some pictures, in order to give you some good options as it’s not always an easy task. If you have an old tattoo, you shouldn't book for basic feather touch as your stylist may not have the training needed to create a result consistent to what we advertise online. Often if you have had older block style tattoo we might require you to have them laser removed for us to have a fresher base to work with. We work with a few laser clinics in Auckland regularly and see incredible results with removal.

No, a manicured brow is best for us to get a clean line if that’s what you are after. We can’t wax at the time of the appointment due to the topical numbing cream we use, and can only tweeze minimally before we increase your chances of overstimulation of the skin. So, we recommend you visit our sisters next door at Lash Noir for a Brow Magic & tint if needed anytime from 1-2 weeks before your treatment with us. We do ask that you don't go somewhere that doesn't specialise in brows or someone you haven't had do your brows before so close to your treatment, due to the fact if you have a brow disaster it will limit what we can do with Feather Touch greatly.

We cannot tattoo over any existing skin conditions in the brows, nor does it make for a good healing environment for the best result. Steroid, Acne and other treatment creams often effect the skin thickness therefore also may prevent you from having the tattoo done. Please consult your therapist in advance of the treatment.

No, everything we use is sterile and hypoallergenic. We have amongst thousands of sets of brows experienced less than 2 reactions to our products, in both cases it was a reaction in relation to aftercare.

We like to work with either a blank canvas, or a settled result. Please plan botox 2 weeks either side of your treatment with us, and fillers in the area 4 weeks either side of your treatment with us. In regards to other cosmetic procedures like peels ect, we ask that you ensure they are nowhere near your brows a month before your first treatment with us, and do not come into contact with your brows for the duration of their life. Most therapists can easily avoid that area with actives to preserve your brows.
